2008/2009 was another big year for the Junior Nordic Program! We had over 100 kids this season: 25 kids each session in Treasure Trails, five Little Nord groups, and four Freeheeler groups. Thanks to all the parents who helped out during the year and at the end-of-year Jamboree! The kids gathered all the magnetic deflector beads and derailed Lord Asriel's plans to create a massive interdimensional wormhole. They saved the universe and skied all over the mountain. Spring is here, the snow at Snoqualmie Pass is almost gone, and we'll see you again next winter! Link to the page with each week's description of the game: The Interdimensional Adventure.

Want to get hooked into the Nordic community at Snoqualmie?
The Snoqualmie Nordic Club is an active community of Nordic skiing enthusiasts with many families. They hold many activities throughout the year (including summer). The hold technique clinics for members also. The Washington Alpine Club is dedicated to 'the healthful enjoyment of the great outdoors' and is active in backcountry skiing, nordic skiing, and climbing. The WAC runs telemark, backcounty, climbing, and mountain first aid classes. There are many families in the club who gather to play, ski, and make merry every weekend at the WAC lodge in Alpental. Both WAC and SNC are heavily involved with conservation and non-motorized recreation access in the I-90 corridor. Many of the JNP instructors are active in these clubs.
