The Journey of Our Hearts

Our Travel "Guides"

We were blessed with the support of many wonderful people along our journey.

Children's Hope International was our Guiding Light throughout the extensive adoption process.  They are a wonderful, caring, Christian agency devoted to the well-being of the children of China, Guatemala, India, Russia and Vietnam.

United Methodist Family Services composed a thoughtful and well-written Home Study for my Mommy and Daddy.  They provide an array of programs for families and children in the central Virginia area.  (Unfortunately, they no longer provide home studies for international adoptions.)

Reveille United Methodist Church is our loving and supportive family of Christian friends.

The Assistant Stork a.k.a. Laura Morrison was invaluable in "couriering" my Mommy's and Daddy's documents to the U.S. State Department and the Chinese Consulate.

For those of you wanting to adopt one of my "brothers" or "sisters" who does not yet have a forever family, here are some important places you might visit for more information:

Adopt (www.adopting.org)

Adoptive Parents - China (an email group of parents in various stages of the adoption process)

China Connection

Families with Children from China

Half the Sky Foundation

Asia for Kids

China Sprout (Chinese Cultural Products and Services)

Jewish Family Services (did a wonderful job on our family's second Home Study for my "Baby Sister Kendal".  They also provide an array of programs for families and children in the central Virginia area.)

And my Mommy is always willing to share her adoption experience with anyone who is interested in pursuing this incredibly amazing endeavor.  Please send us an email if you have questions or would like more information.  It could be the start of your own rewarding and fulfilling "Journey of the Heart"!

Join our family and explore the many aspects of our "Adoption Journey"!

Thank you for visiting my Web site.  And, if you can, please send me an email to help me get to know you better.  I promise I'll answer (or at least Mommy will until I can type a little better!)
