At Home in Virginia
|
I
greeted my "Welcome Home Party" in the Richmond airport on
March 4th, 2001 with my eyes closed. Much to everyone's amazement, I awakened - all smiles - when my tearful Aunt
Nisey kissed me for the very
first time, then took me in her arms.
I lost count of
how many people held
me, but it was great to have so many loving friends and family there to welcome
me HOME!

Our Our wonderful
neighbors had this sign waiting for us when we arrived home from the
airport. It was the first time I saw Mommy cry, but she assured me
they were tears of joy - and relief!

Mommy made a
Panda Cake for me for my 1st birthday and we dressed up in our beautiful, red
Chinese silk jackets.

These are
two of Mommy's favorite pictures of me. The first was taken on our
Forever Family Day, February 18, 2003. The "Cowgirl
Princess" (note the boots from Aunt Nisey!) was taken in April, 2003.
