Everything looks very good. Just inquired about getting some space marines painted!!
HAPPY EASTER!!!
May your day be filled with peace, joy, chocolate, and Easter eggs. ;)
Karl
Hello All,
A really quick post today. I have uploaded a photo or two of the Elementals that I did for Daniel.
That's it for today.
Karl
Hello All,
Well, I HAVE been busy. I have been working on a new site! I am learning how to make a "real" website. I have also been playing with the camera and some of my old miniatures. Although, I am seeing that what I thought was quality painting doesn't really hold up to the kinds of things I have been doing lately. Close, but no cigar.
I have been working on Gerry's Scouts and Command squad (more details on this soon). I have been trying to find Travis and fix my first (and only so far) BIG mistake. That has been a bit of a disaster, but I WILL make it right.
Also, I have been trying to work on the "beast" for Ryan. Seeing as it is the LAST miniature for Ryan, I should have it completed, but the Daemon (and I MEAN daemon) has thwarted me at every turn.
I will be adding a couple of photos of the unit I did for Daniel. And then in the near future I will probably be removing ALL of the photos and setting the photos page up differently. Hopefully the latest commissions will be at the top and as you work your way down you will go back to my "earlier" work at the bottom.
And as I said, I am hoping for a real site soon.
I am also considering a purge of some of my armies. I just don't think I will get to some of the stuff I have and the fire has left me for some items. We shall see.
Lastly, I have joined forces with Matt at Conversion Corner. Matt does some absolutely stellar conversion work and has graciously agreed to "swap" links. If you check my main page, you will see a tab that will lead you to a link and from there you can go to conversion heaven...
Got to run. Wife says it's dinner time. ;)
Karl
Hello All,
Well, last week was the kid's spring break. Thank goodness that week is over. ;)
Actually, it wasn't too bad but I lost some time on figures because of it. Also, my wife and I have come to the decision that we would like to start looking for a house. Another time consumer. Especially with the idea of pre-qualifying the loan and all that stuff. I am not sold that now is the right time to buy, but I am glad that my wife is considering a house.
I am trying to keep up with the blog thing, but I am having trouble posting a lot of late. I have contacted everybody recently to give updates.
Ok. So... None of that stuff was about painting figures. So, I better get back to that. I have been concentrating on Gerry's Imperial Fists of late. I also did a quicky (chuckle) small job for Daniel. I am hoping to put up photos of the unit I painted for him.
I am officially stating that I am a little behind on painting, but I will catch up. Thanks to all for your patience.
Karl
Hello all,
Disregard this blog title. It's just the song I am listening to and I couldn't think of anything else right now.
I am still working on everybody's stuff. I have also been working on redoing ALL of the pictures on the site. At least rearanging them and dumping some of the useless ones. Unfortunately, a LOT of the miniatures that are pictured here on the site have returned to their owners. But, I will try to retake pictures of items that I have and now that I have a studio box I can (hopefully) take better photos of my stuff and my customers items.
Thank you all for your patience.
Karl
Hello All,
The pictures of most of Ryan's fifth batch are up on the site. There was one casualty on the day I was to meet with Ryan. I unfortunately dropped one model and I have been working on re-pinning wings and doing general touch-up on the damaged model. There are a LOT of new photos though to look at.
Also unfortunately, my new Photo Studio Box arrived in the mail yesterday. A few days too late to get better shots of Ryan's batch, but in time for the next set of photos.
I have been working on Chris's tanks, Gerry's scouts, and the last damaged Cryx figure. I should have Chris's tanks done soon, which will leave just the 3 Stukas to do for him. I have also been planning out the conversion on Gerry's Storm Pattern Landspeeder. Lastly, I am working my way through Doug's Tau. The next batch of Tau Fire Warriors are almost finished.
So, now that I have done a little website updating here, I think it's time that I get back to painting... ;)
Karl
Hello All,
Well, considering the fact that I am considering a new website, I figured that I better start trying to put up a blog more often (I would love to do one every day). I will take input or suggestions from anybody who reads these blogs as far as what you would like to see if I was to make a new website. You can email me at adunaphel@comcast.net to leave suggestions, questions, or critisisms (it's OK, I'm a big boy and can handle it).
I am hoping to have photos up of Ryan's huge batch of Cryx on Sunday or Monday. I am moving right along with a couple of other projects (SM Scouts, German tanks, and Tau snipers). I am also stripping down some paint off of some Steel Legion guys that I got in a trade recently.
I have had a couple of folks inquire into the health of the family since I posted our "plague" a while back. I am pleased to announce that everybody is feeling MUCH better and hopefully it will be smooth sailing on the home front.
Karl
Hello All,
Sorry for the delay in posts. I have been busy. So, what have I been up to? Well, Ryan's Cryx batch is finished. I have been trying to take photos of them. I have a photo box inbound. I am hoping that will give the figures due respect as far as quality of photos. I have also been reading the manual for my digital camera (gasp). Actually, if I am truthful, I "read" that thing right when I need to try to fall asleep. Works like a charm... ;)
Painting wise, I have been working on Gerry's Scouts, Doug's Tau (again, after all this time), and I did a wash on Chris's tanks. Also, I took a timeout one evening to actually build my new Forgeworld Daemonhunter and paint up the Malakith (Dark Elf) Dragon rider.
Also, I am in talks with Mike H. (bluemeenie on Bartertown) and Jay Y. (Medevl on Bartertown) to help me with more paintwork. I will inform folks as more information becomes available. It looks like Jay will be my "clutch" painter, in case I get REALLY far behind. Mike, I am hoping, to make a steady fixture here. He is a fine painter and has proven to be trustworthy under fire. I trust Mike and I would trust my children's lives with Jay. And I wouldn't trust many folks with that (fewer than can be counted on one hand).
Lastly, I am ALSO in talks with several Bartertowners about making a new website (maybe there will be a www.AdunaphelsPaintingService.com in the future). We shall see. I know that I can only handle so much computer-speak before my head starts to spin. But, I am getting the "website building for dummys" course slowly, but steadily.
All in all, it has been a busy couple of weeks. Now, if I can just stop cussing out the camera for not giving the miniatures a proper representation...
Karl
Hello All,
I have uploaded some photos of Daniel's Infinity drones. I like how they turned out. I learned a little more about basing with those figures.
Ryan's Cryx order is taking up most of my time. When I am not at a Doctor's office, Urgent Care, or Hospital. EVERYONE in the house is sick (ear infections, bronchiolitis, pnemonia, etc). It's been tough going.
I appreciate all of your patience. I think I have gotten just a little deep in work. Rest assured that I am working towards getting out of it. I might be a little late on some orders, but I have already informed the customers in question of the problems.
I didn't get any feedback from my hints towards the website and painter help...
I wonder if anyone IS reading any of these?
Karl
Hello All,
Daniel's Infinity drones are complete. Photos should be up soon on those. Also another unit of Bane knights are finished. Ryan's Cryx are moving along.
That's all for now.
Karl
Hello all,
Just some updates this time, seeing as I haven't in a while. Priority one right now is finishing Ryan's fifth and largest batch of Cryx. I have also almost finished Daniel's Infinity Drones. I have had to put Gerry's Scouts on a little bit of a hold, but I am hoping to get back to them in about a week or so. Lastly, I have Chris's next batch of German tanks built and primed. They are just waiting on the paint.
On another note, I am considering "upgrading" the website to one with more features. I have started this whole thing with a bit of a shoestring budget. And to be honest, I didn't know how it would turn out. But, so far so good. If anybody who reads these blogs has ANY suggestions or knows anything about the cost or abitility to build webpages, PLEASE let me know.
Also, I am considering moving towards a slightly larger company. I may be adding another painter as a helper when I need the help. I WILL NOT let the work suffer and I will absolutely make sure that my customers are still getting a quality job at a decent price. Some help to flow through these orders might very well make some of my customers happier. Although, so far, all of customers have been awesome. Thanks guys.
If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or criticism about any of these items, PLEASE email me and let me know. I have had a really good time doing this work, BUT it is ALL about you guys that are the customers.
Thanks.
Karl
Hello All,
Today I am putting the finishing touches on Chris's Pioneer platoon and I am working on Daniel's Infinity Drone unit.
I am hoping to have both of these done today and tomorrow respectively.
Then it's back to Gerry's scouts and Tau.
Karl
Hello all,
Just another quick note to let you folks who are sitting on the edges of their seats right now know whazzup.
The peliminary work on Gerry's Scouts is done. Soon... the painting. Chris's Pioneer platoon is almost finished. And, those pesky Cryx Bane Knights are being built. It takes a while on them because of the number of pieces.
Also, I had a little time to build 2 of my Lancia AA rolling guns. Cool models. Very cool, except there are 31 (!!!!) pieces to each one. And at 15mm, they are small pieces. One day, I will get me fingers unglued...
Thanks to each of the above for giving me a chance to do the work for you. Also, Travis, if you are checking here, send me an email.
Karl
Hello All,
As the title says, I have been a-workin. I hope to have pictures up soon.
That's about it for now.
Go Cardinals!
Karl
Hello All,
I just wanted to let everybody know that I uploaded some photos of the work I did for Chris. Thanks Chris! I have one more unit to do for him (for now). Also, I have Daniel's drones preped and ready for paint. Ryan, if you are reading this, I am making strides to get your mountainous batch of Cryx done. Also, Doug, your Tau have not been forgotten.
All in all, I am very busy. But, I am happily making progress with everybody's order.
Karl
Hello All,
Just a quick note today. I am finished with Chris's German items for Flames of War. I will post pictures soon.
Karl
Hello all,
Just a quick note today. I am finishing up Chris's German artillery and tanks. I have been steady on Doug's Tau (I am in need of the items from Travis and Doug, if you guys are checking the site). Hint. Ryan's Warmachine have been backburnered of late, but I am making strides to get those finished.
Lastly, I would like to welcome Gerry and Daniel on board. Gerry and a steady stream of Imperial Fists should keep me busy for a while and Daniel sent me the most interesting Infinity figs...
If anybody mentioned here has any questions, PLEASE contact me.
Karl
Hello All,
Well, the last two blogs I have written have been lost. Ghost in the machine I guess. Rats.
I guess that means that whomever has been reading this drivel is missing out on my wittiness. ;)
Oh well, I had a LOT of interesting things in those blogs, but now I can't remember them. Shucks.
I will say that now that the holidays are over, I will have to really get back to painting. I have had a slight cessation of work due to all the kids being home and the holidays themselves. But, now it's time to get all "at-a-boy".
I very well might have a large announcement soon. Check back. Chuckle.
I hope everyone's holidays were as nice as mine.
Karl
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
I would like to give a BIG thank you to the following:
I would also like to thank Gerry (and his hopefully upcoming Imperial Fists).
Lastly, I would like to THANK Eric and Jay for their insight, input, and helpful tips.
It has been a great year for me in a lot of ways.
I hope you ALL have a Happy Holiday Season. I know I will. I get to watch my children open their gifts. ;)
Karl
Hello All,
I have finally gotten around to uploading some photos. Included are pictures of Ryan's Cryx and a few of Doug's Grand Tournament Tau Army.
I am sorry for all the delays, but the holidays are very busy around here. Especially with the fact that my lovely wife and I will be hosting the Christmas festivities for the first time. I am thrilled about it but also filled with a certain amount of trepidation.
So, to the two or three people that actually LOOK at these blogs, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!!
Karl
Merry Christmas!!!!
Hello All,
Well, once again, it has been awhile. And to those brave few who come here to read this, I must once again apologize. Although, this time my computer has some blame. The old computer pretty much died. The new computer is nice, but I had a heck of a time finding my editor page again. Not pretty. Sometimes, it seems like I am getting old.
Anyway, I am back on the blog. I should be adding some more photos here soon and everything is going fairly smoothly.
Thanks and more later.
Karl
Hello All,
I have been busy working on the assembly of Ryan's Cryx. Also, Chris's batch of German WWII items have been assembled. Lastly, I have been working on Doug's Tau Stealth suits.
All in all, things have been going smooth and I am looking at renewing my advertising space on Bartertown for 2009. I am hoping that I have a couple of jobs for 2009. Gerry and his Imperial Fists look like they might be an eventuality and Jim with some of his Sisters of Battle (in Ohio State colors) might be an option for the future.
I would like to thank everybody who has made this a great start. I am learning a LOT while I work my way through all of this. I have had some great customers and I hope that future customers will scan some of these blogs just to get an idea of the kind of work I do and the way I like to conduct my business with my fellow gamers.
Obviously, this is not a get rich quick scheme. ;)
But, it is certainly a relaxing and fun way to help out fellow gamers while earning a little extra to feed my own hobby wants.
Karl
Hello All,
Well, I have said goodbye to Doug's GT Tau Army. Good Luck Doug! I also received a couple of more items from Ryan to add to his large 5th Batch. Lastly, Chris's German artillery and tanks arrived today. So, now it is back to the preparatory stages for a lot of stuff.
Thanks guys. Karl
Hello All,
Having met with Ryan last night, all I can say is thank you. Another batch is gone and a big batch is waiting now. I look forward to starting to work my way through that. Doug's Tau GT army is almost finished and ready to ship. I will have pictures up for both of these jobs and I also would like to thank Chris for coming on board with his German FoW items.
Everything seems to rolling it's way towards the new year. Thanks guys!
Karl
I have finished up Ryan's fourth batch and I should be able to throw some photos up here soon. Mainly I am working on Doug's Tau to try to get the army done for his GT. I have had fun working on these Tau. They are pretty interesting. Although working on the Warmachine has been very different. For me it's neat to work on models that I don't really have any preconceived notion of how they should go.
I have noticed one thing about Privateer Press stuff. They are as stuck on hoses as GW is stuck on skulls. And that is saying something.
Karl
Hello All or Any,
I have been busy painting Tau and Cryx. Also, I have been trading on Bartertown to get myself more FoW and less 40K. Now that I finally got my Afrika and Ostfront books from the guy on eBay (took FOREVER to ship them), I can actually start putting armies together. I have a full US army and an Italian army is well on it's way. Now I just have to work on that German Afrikakorps...
Also, I need to post some of my Tau photos. I have Kroot, Kroot hounds, Krootoxen (Krootoxen... funny). Also, I have a large batch of Fire Warriors to put photos up of. And I have Ryan's next batch of Cryx. Dudes with big hands, a chick, a chicken, and some uber cool Pistol Wraiths.
Lastly, I think I will be putting another "ad" up on Bartertown to start looking for some Christmastime work. Or New Years Eve. Or spring (although I think I have a spring job lined up with a certain OSU Buckeye fan).
Oh, enjoy Halloween. I like the mountain of candy my kids pile up. They don't like Nestle Crunch Bars... Mmmm...
Karl
Hello All,
I am going to be uploading some photos today.
And painting Tau.
Karl
Hello All,
Just a quick note today. I had my surgery this morning, so I am relaxing a bit. Seeing as the reference system is back up on Bartertown, I have spent some of my "sit time" leaving references for a ton of traders and cleaning out my PM's (that had gotten out of hand).
I have been working on Doug's Tau army and finished cleaning and priming Ryan's 4th batch of Cryx. Lastly, I have started resizing photos I have taken of several armies in hopes of uploading them here to the website.
Karl
Hello All,
I realized that I have forgotten to add some blogs here of late. What with being busy with Doug's Tau army and finishing Ryan's third batch and meeting him and picking up the fourth batch at the most trendy Starbucks ever, I have forgotten to blog. Silly me.
I need to rectify this. When I started this idea, I wanted to make sure that anybody who came to the site would see that I try to constantly keep everyone updated on what's going on.
So, I will try dilligently to keep everything rolling smoothly from here on.
I have a LOT of new pics to get up on the site. I will be working on that over the course of the next few days. I might nix some of the older pictures that are less relevent to the type of work that I do now.
So, for those of you (and I have no clue if there are any of you) who come to the blog page looking for updates I should be able to appease you slightly better here in the near future.
Also, I need to get some items on eBay and bartertown soon.
Lots to do.
Karl
Hello All,
Just a quick note. I met with Ryan and I have started on his third batch. I am also wading through Doug's Tau army. I haven't heard from Nick lately, but it might be for the best to have him on hold.
Karl
Hello All,
I realized in my last blog that I mentioned AH and Model Airplanes AGAIN!!! Ah, old age. I forgot that painting FoW stuff reminded me of something...
I have been busy building and priming fire warriors. And Ryan's second batch is almost complete. I am trying to get some of my stuff together to trade on Bartertown. I have decided that I just have too many 40K armies that I will never get to. So, a change of direction is needed.
Karl
Hello All,
Just a quick note because my wife wants me to help with the chillins and dinner. Go figure. Nick's FoW items are on their way home. They were a BLAST to paint! I am seriously considering dumping a few 40K armies of mine so that I can pick up some of that cool WWII stuff. It takes me back to my youth with model airplanes and Avalon Hill games.
Also, Ryan's Bile Thralls are finished. I just need to finish the Skarlock figure to finish up this batch and move on to some more Cryx items (hopefully the BIG bat winged dude).
Lastly, Doug's Tau army is being built and primed. Lots of infantry arms and legs everywhere. I will have to check with Travis to see how the magnetizing of the battle suits and tanks is going.
Oh. I forgot that I have not heard from Rich about his Chaos Dwarf Blood Bowl team. If you are reading this Rich... ;)
Thanks guys for your business and patience. With starting new, I have some learning to do and some development on several fronts. I am trying to give MY customers as great a final product as possible in as quick a time as possible.
Karl
Hello All,
I am finishing up Ryan's Bile Thralls. Also, Nick's tank and infantry stand are almost done also. I have started building Doug's Tau stuff. I have also been very busy with my mother and children this week and weekend. Luckily, I should start having a LOT more time to paint and work on miniatures on Tuesday and then from there on in.
I apologize for the long breaks of late in blog post's, but it really has been a busy time for me (and not just with miniatures).
Karl
Hello all,
I would like to thank the following: Wade, Kevin, Ryan, Doug, Rich, and Nick. Thank you guys for making this such a smooth start. With Doug coming on board with an army to paint, I have decided that I will NOT be starting any other new commissions until mid-November.
Having said that, I have been working on Ryan's Bile Thralls and driving all over Tucson looking for the appropriate primers (I ran out while priming said Bile Thralls). That took FOREVER. There REALLY needs to be a hobby shop on the North side of Tucson...
Thanks again guys.
Karl
Hello All,
Let me first say, thank you Ryan for being my first satisfied customer since advertising on Bartertown! I will be putting photos of your Bane Knights up on the website today and I have already started preparing your Bile Thralls for paint (another return customer, woohoo). Also, I would like to thank Nick for giving me a shot at painting some of his FoW stuff. Doing WW2 stuff is like going back to my roots (Avalon hill board games and plastic airplane models a LONG time ago). Lastly, I am hoping that I can do some work for Rich and his Chaos Dwarf Blood Bowl team. I think if I get any more requests soon, I will have to put them on a small hold. Thanks guys, you are making this a very smooth endevour.
Karl
Hello All,
And so it goes ever onward. Don't know why I typed that... Oh well. It's been a long day. But, in a while, I am away.
Off to meet with Ryan and return his Warmachine figures to him in person. A unique development. A Bartertowner in Tucson. I know, I know. There are a few of us.
Also, I am hoping to give Nick a quote on some FoW stuff and I will probably fall asleep tonight holding one of my Assault on Black Reach boxed sets. The Orks are too cool.
Gotta run. Pizza. Then the Mall. All that good stuff.
Karl
Hello All,
I am finishing up Ryan's Bane Knights. I hopefully should have pictures of these bad boys either today or tomorrow on the website.
I have three other customers who I have yet to finalize deals with, but I hope I can do the work for them. Everything is moving at a very good pace right now.
Karl
Hello All,
Just a quick note today. I am working on armor highlights for Ryan's Bane Knights. Also, I am putting quotes together for a couple of guys. Hopefully, they will work out. Although, if one comes through, I will have to put further customers on hold for a while.
Thanks to everybody who has contacted me OR come to the website to look around.
Karl
Hello All,
I have started on Ryan's Bane Knights. The mold lines and flash are gone. They are assembled and awaiting primer (later today). Actually, I have been impressed with the models. The spine up the back is very cool. The only drawback that I have seen is that they are infantry guys that are in 8 metal pieces!
I will have pictures of them up when I am finished.
Karl
Hello All,
I would like to thank Ryan for being my first customer since Advertising on Bartertown. I will be doing some Warmachine figures for him. Thanks Ryan!
Also, I wanted to give a shout out to Travis (Lormax on Bartertown) for doing some magnetizing for me. Thanks Travis!
Karl
Hello All,
I have it on good authority that selling some well-painted figures on eBay can generate some enthusiasm from outside of the Bartertown realm. So, after taking a look at some items, I have decided to go with The Emperor. He kind of sticks out as being different anyway and I really don't need him. So, it's off to eBay with him soon.
Also, I have realized that my photographic skills are not so good. I will have to work on that.
Lastly, I am considering an "Assault on Black Reach" boxed set deal. My boxes are due at my door by Monday at the latest (Thanks to Neal at The Warstore). I am excited to see how those miniatures look.
Karl
Hello All,
The Bartertown banner is up and a few Towners have shown up. I will be making a formal Post in the Painters for Hire board on Bartertown either tonight or tomorrow. Also, I have been catalogueing pictures and resizing them to be uniform. I will hopefully have them up here on the site as well.
Karl
Hello All,
My wife and I are thrilled to be able to spend some time together with our new baby girl Zoe. This, of course, has led to some lack of sleep issues and the obvious amount of baby "work". None the less, I have been working on some of my Daemonhunters and I have neared completion on a "special" project for my friend Jay.
Also, Linrandir has informed me that my advertising banner should be going up on Bartertown tonight. Hopefully I will be getting some customers to list here...
I have been trying to work out a deal with a Bartertowner to do some SM BT shoulder pads. I hope I get a chance to do the work for him.
Karl
Hello All,
As I started to work on base coating my Grey Knights I came accross the last primed unit of Necron Warriors that I have. I decided to paint them up and was surprised at how quickly Necrons paint up (knew I loved that army for a reason). So, now all I have left is 1 Pariah to paint up and my 2000 point Necron Army should be finished. Now that those are out of the way, I am going to work on my Grey Knights until the Battle for Black Reach box arrives at my door and then I will have to decide what to do with all those figures (I am tempted to go back to my roots and start a Black Templars army).
Karl
Hello All,
I have come into possession of a fairly large Grey Knight force. I have been spending some time preparing them for paint. I have been looking for paint work, but a couple of guys have melted away. I am hoping that when I advertise on Bartertown I will get some customers going. But, for now I can wait and work on my own stuff.
Karl
Hello All,
Spent time last night organizing and building some of my Sisters of Battle. I am hoping today to get what is left cleaned of mold lines and primed. Also, I have the very cool Emperor figure to prime and a couple of spare space marines.
Karl
Hello all,
Sorry for the delay in posting a blog. It has been busy for several reasons on my end. I have been on the lookout for more work and have sent out some feelers to try to get some more work. But, so far, things have slowed down. I have been working on building up some of my armies. I have also been doing a lot of trading/selling/buying on Bartertown. I have just about pulled the trigger on advertising on B-town but I have a few things that I am trying to work out.
Karl
Hello All,
The Night Goblin horde is finished and ready for their return trip to home. Hopefully this will give me some time to catch up on some of my own items before the next batch comes in. Thanks Kevin!
Karl
Hello All,
The in-laws have left and I can now get back to it. I need to get Kevin's Night Goblins done and see if I can contact the other long lost Bartertowner who wanted me to do work for them. On top of that, I need to get in touch with Linrandir on the site and maybe get an advertising thingie up. Ah. Technical terms...
Karl
Hello All,
Sorry for the gap in blogs. I have had family in town this week and it has made it difficult to get as much done as I would like. I am still working on Kevin's Night Goblins and a couple of small projects for myself. Mostly, I am doing the "showing the tourist around" bit. Sorry for the delays, but it has been a busy week.
Karl
Hello All,
I am still steadily going through converting, preparing, and priming Night Goblins for Kevin. I am also still working on my special project and waiting for a reply from another Bartertowner about some work he wants done.
Karl
Hello All,
I am working on Kevin's Night Goblins. Doing the prep work that makes figures look so nice. ;)
Basically, today has been "clean the mold lines" day. I am still working on my friends 2006 Christmas present (yeah, I know it's a little late). I have worked up the plot and laid down the first draft of the story. Maybe when I get it all done I will put some photos of it up.
Karl
Hello All,
The Postal Lady brought me a box today. Thank you Kevin for shipping your figures so quickly. I have already started to work on getting them prepared for battle. Kevin, I will keep you informed on their progress.
Karl
Hello All,
Today was a slower day. I primed some of my fences from the Warhammer Village set and a group of Ultramarines and Blood Angels characters.
Karl
Hello All,
Sorry in the delay in blogs, I have been busy with non-hobby related items over the 4th of July weekend. I have as always been taking care of a couple of my things. I have just been contacted by Kevin who has shipped some Night Goblins to me to prep out. Thanks Kevin!
Also, Wade, I would like to thank you for your comments. I will be uploading some photos of your second batch real soon.
Thanks Guys. Karl
Hello All,
I have a busy day today. Our band is playing at a party for the 4th of July and I need to get a bunch of things together. Hopefully I will find time to prime my Warhammer Manor and get started on my Imperial Sector sprues. Somehow, I doubt that I will have time...
Karl
Hello All,
With Wade being out of the way (for the time being at least). I am waiting for two orders from other Bartertowners. It looks like they will be here soon, so I need to try to get some of my stuff done in the meantime. I got my Warhammer Manor completely put together and I want to start on my Imperial Sector. Also, I have a Scavvies gang for Necromunda and my new LE Direct Order Space Marine that I would like to get all done.
I hope to have the two orders in and get working on them soon, but the break has allowed me to do some of my own and work on my other hobby (guitar in a wedding band).
Karl
Hello All,
I have gotten word that Wade has received his 2nd batch and we might go for a third in the future. I am waiting for some stuff to come through in the post, so I can get started on some more stuff. In the meantime, I found some time today to open up my Warhammer village set and build the Manor House (a very cool model). Which means that my Warhammer scenery is coming along. Now I just have to get started on my 40K scenery.
Karl
Hello All,
Wade's second batch is on it's way home. Bye-bye. Thanks Wade for being a GREAT first customer. Frank has emailed me to let me know that his batch is on the way. I haven't heard from Kevin lately, but I will hope that he wants his Goblin's prepared.
All in all, for a "noob", I am pretty happy with how everything is going.
Karl
Hello All,
Wade's 2nd batch is finished. They have had their mugshots taken. They are wrapped in bubble wrap and ready to go. Now, I will await word from two other Bartertowners while I work on a couple of projects of my own. I opened the Imperial Sector box I have and I think I will start building some scenery soon.
Karl
Hello All,
Today I have finished Wade's second batch. I will try to get some good photos of them and get the ready to ship back home. I have a couple of projects to work on, including one for a close friend and my Dark Elves. But, I am hoping that a couple of contacts that I have made on Bartertown will pan out and I will have more armies to work on.

Hello All,
I have finished another of Wade's Ultramarine units and his second batch is about finished. Also, Frank (another Bartertowner) has decided that he should be shipping his Imperial Guard items early next week.
I am still trying to organize all of my own armies. Also, I took a trip down to my local Hobby Shop to pick up a couple of supplies. I am waiting for the new Dark Elf Army Book to come out and I am interested in seeing how GW does the new 5th edition of Warhammer 40K. Plus, I have to admit that the Flames of War items caught my eye...

Hello All. Today I plan on getting another unit of Wade's done (Ultramarines Company 1, Squad 1) and starting up the last of his second batch. And I am getting prepared for some orders to come in soon. I am putting the finishing touches on a banner for Bartertown. Also, I need to do some organization on some of my figures (I can see loose Dark Elf Corsairs sitting on my bookcase). I am thinking about retaking my pictures so that they are more uniform, but that might take a little time, so I wouldn't expect that to be done for a little while.
Hello All. I have been working on Mukrat's 2nd batch of Ultramarines. Also, I have still been trying to figure out this whole website thing. Lots to learn. I am still taking photos and uploading and trying to get everything in order before I start to advertise around some of the websites.

Hello all. Today I am working on taking pictures, editing, and uploading them to the site. And seeing as I have a few days before Mukrat's (a fellow Bartertowner) second batch of figures come in, I have decided to do some prep-work on my Dark Elf Black Guard which I plan on using for the June Adeptus Arizona Warhammer Tournament.
Hello all. This will be my first blog here. It is Monday, May 26, 2008 (Memorial Day). I am just starting to try and get this website off the ground. We shall see how this works out. ;)
