*** The KB1SO Station is on EchoLink ***

EchoLink® software allows licensed Amateur Radio stations to communicate with one another over the Internet, using voice-over-IP (VoIP) technology. KB1SO HF station can be remote controlled by typing Commands into EchoLink® chat text box or by using KB1SO Station Control software (download RayHamClient Beta release) or programs that use N8AD's EchoBase command set like ARTie. All users by default have receive only privileges, you may change frequency, mode and select up to 14 different Antennas on 3 towers. If you like to transmit, send your request to kb1so@comcast.net and you will maybe granted privileges to transmit. You will be restricted from changing rotor direction and the use of high power amplifies.

If you are a licensed ham in the US or your country has Reciprocal Operating Agreement with the US you may send an email to kb1so@comcast.net to request be Control Operator of the KB1SO station in Londonderry, New Hampshire. When you are the Control Operator of the KB1SO station you and only you have full control of the station as if you were sitting in front of the KB1SO station. Others may transmit that have transmit privileges, however you are the Control Operator and must ensure all users are in compliance with the rules and regulations of US Federal Communications Commission.

When you transmit using EchoLink® you become the Operator of the KB1SO station as if you were sitting in front of the radio here in Londonderry, New Hampshire. Users are required to conform to all the rules and regulations of the US Federal Communications Commission including transmitting only on US ham frequencies. Also I request that you state at least once in your communication that you are transmitting remotely from the KB1SO remote station in Londonderry, New Hampshire USA. Again; when you are the Control Operator of the KB1SO station you and only you have control of the station. Others may transmit, however you are the Control Operator and must ensure all users are in compliance with the rules and regulations of US Federal Communications Commission.

The KB1SO station rig that is remote controlled over EchoLink is a FLEX-5000A manufactured by FlexRadio Systems. This rig was chosen for its high performance and open source software platform. All my server code is tightly coupled within PowerSDR, the software that controls the rig and written in the C# programming language. The effect minimizes latency while tuning and audio delays that other remote stations experience.

The KB1SO station logs every transmission to a text file for "station records", the following data is recorded; date, time, control operator, operator, mode and frequency of transmission. The KB1SO station also builds "databases" of users to record control operator & transmit privileges of users and specific EchoLink connection and user info, following data is recorded; callsign, name, password, email, ip address, date on, time on, date off, time off, for every connection. The KB1SO "station records" and "database" will be made available for inspection when request by FCC or representative.FYI: This info has been requested previously and supplied to FCC confirming station compliance with rules and regulations.
