Radio Free Waldenburg is back on the air!

As of Nov 19, 2008 I fired up the station after long interruptions do to remodeling of the house.   The coax and antennas also had to be redone.   See you on the 75 meter band, 3.880 MHz!

Hi All,   This is Ken, KB8GPO, sitting in the Hot Seat at Radio Free Waldenburg, in beautiful downtown Waldenburg, Michigan.   Amplitude Modulated (AM) Ham Radio is alive and doing fine here and around the world.   We AM'ers use Vacuum Tube Transmitters and Receivers that are bigger then a Bread Box and weigh over 100 pounds each.   They are also known as Boat Anchors because appliance operators think that is all they are good for.   Our transmitted signals can be heard on any Short-wave Receiver. You can find us on 3.880 to 3.885 MHz and 7.290 to 7.295 MHz, you can't miss the mellow sounds of Amplitude Modulation.   The Donald Duck sounds you hear near by on the band are other Hams talking on Single Side Band, if you have a BFO on your receiver you can tune them in also.

If anyone has old Ham Radio Ads or related artwork, I would really like to use them in up coming pages. Please scan them in and send them to me.

I have not been true to my school lately. I need to get back into the shack and get to work on my Jefferson-Travis 350A and the newest a RCA Radiolas 44, a 1929 wooden receiver.
