| I hope to create a new desktop background image each month for you. I hope you enjoy. If you have a particular image you'd like to see posted on this download page, just jot me a line. I was exploring all the gorgeous planes during my visit to Sun-N-Fun and as I was walking through the line of classic airplanes I noticed how the tail feathers of the planes were in alignment. The colors is what caught my attention as I walked through, so I backed up a few steps and snapped this shot. Makes a GREAT desktop background image. Enjoy! | May 2004 |
I was walking by some of the older WWII planes and came across the Memphis Belle. I was curious and began reading when I noticed an old timer, Col. Robert Morgan. We began talking and soon realized he was one of the last of his generation who flew the Memphis Belle. While talking about fallen comrades and stories of missing friends I soon realized we were soon to missing an era. Afterwards I walked by this plane and remembering the stories and feeling the tears in his heart, I wanted to take this shot and share it with friends. As you continue in your daily lives, pause just a moment, remember those before you, who gave their lives in sacrifice, that you and I may continue in our daily walk of freedom. Let us not forsake those now in Iraq, who are willing to lay down their lives 'today' for the same freedom for us and those who choose freedom from tyranny. God Bless us all, amen.
