The time of day is sent every hour, and half hour.
The basic DTMF codes : 411 - link status, 111 - time of day, To connect to a IRLP reflector, or node just enter the node # To enter a echolink connection, enter a 0 first, then the node number.Always pause before working the linking as there might be a conversation taking place already, or someone listening in, and you arrive at a momentary quiet time. Be curtious, and most of all patient. When working either linking system, and only after making SURE you are not disrupting current QSO's,please give your call sign, followed by "working IRLP, (or ECHOLINK)",and then enter the dtmf codes to connect. I recommend using the status code of 411 first as it is great to tell how well you are making it into the machine, and also that the link is open.
The link above for node status
is real handy when you are near a computer. It has every connected IRLP node, and Echolink connection in the world, and updates
ever few minutes. If you have any questions, please email Tim, or myself, and we should be able to help.
Other than that, enjoy!
The world is at your fingertips!
