Got the car back from Orville's. He said the car had a lot of covered up hail damage so he'd have to charge $200 more than the original $1000 estimate. He didn't finish all the work on the fenders and doors as he didn't want to have to re-do work by pulling fenders and doors to repair the panels and prime to then do it all over again to paint. I went ahead and gave him the $1200 and he gave me a receipt for just under $800 with a note at the bottom indicating the remainder of repair to be completed prior to paint. I just hope this wasn't a mistake on my part, as I've been burned before from being too trusting.
