December 2005 - New Buffet

Just in time for Christmas, Keith finished this new buffet for the dining room.  Please take note of the fine job Debra did installing the tiles on the top of this unit.  She is very proud.

September 2005 - Dresser Is Rebuilt

Keith took his old college dresser, added a new base, new top, new drawers, plus new paint and created this cabinet for holding all the DVD's, VCR tapes etc.  It now supports a variety of plants behind the couch. 

In August Keith constructed this TV Stand to match the style of our new dining room furniture.  The two sections at the sides hold speakers, while the four shelves hold the cable box, DVD player, VCR, and sound system.  This project proved to be the incentive for several more.

May 2005 - New Flooring

As soon as the workbench was done (see below) we started on laying a new Armstrong floor in the living room, dining room and hall.  Shown above is the final section of the dining room, which came out rather nicely.

From February thru April of 2005, our family room was home to this new workbench.  Seems Keith had added so many tools, he now had nowhere to store them, and no space left to work in.  The completed bench is now in the garage, full of tools.  Unfortunately the top is now covered with tools too, so perhaps a new storage project is in the future.

In June 2002 we took a one week vacation.  Both weekends were spent playing volleyball, but the week in between was busy building a shed in our back yard.  We started Monday leveling a platform built much like a deck on which the shed was to rest.  Tuesday we built and installed two walls.  Wednesday one more was build and installed.  Thursday after several problems with wall four it was finally put in place, and Friday we built and installed trusses to support the roof.  Of course we had limited time on the weekend due to volleyball, but did mange to put the sheathing on the roof using a few spare minutes Saturday and Sunday mornings.  

In July we put shingles on the roof, added doors, and trim materials. In August we painted the structure.  In October the first window was constructed and painted, and was finally installed November 10th.  The other three windows were installed in March 2003, and the potting bench was constructed in April, and early May 2003.  The last two pictures were taken May 10, 2003 the day before Mother's Day..
