June 9th & 10th,2001

    During Mom and Art's last weekend of their 3-week New Jersey visit, Ginny and Frank invited them and me to spend Saturday and Sunday with them at their ski condo in Windham, New York. [Betsy and Corey were also going to go, but their schedule did not permit it.] We left around 10:30 am on Saturday and got home around 10:00 pm on Sunday. The seven of us, along with Salem, drove up in Ginny's large vehicle.

    This was the first time that Mom, Art and I had seen the vacation condo and we really loved it. It has 3 1/2 bedrooms (plus a section of the sofa in the living room opens up into a queen-sized bed), 2 full bathrooms, and the theme for the decor is !!! Their back windows look directly over to the slopes where they ski so many weekends of each winter. It must truly be a "Winter Wonderland" then, but it was absolutely lovely up there in the spring.

    The picture above shows Ginny standing at the front of the condo. That little freestanding archway thing in back of her is really cool. It contains 2 storage closet/sheds: one for all their ski equipment and the other for shovels, brooms, etc. What a truly brilliant design idea for ski condos! This is the second condo that they have owned in this complex, and Carmen and Chris also own one within walking distance. Ginny and Frank have been going up to Windham for over 12 years.

    I, of course, had my digital camera with me and documented bits and pieces of our stay so those of us who were there can reminisce and those of you who weren't can relive our visit with us.
