Kelly's Background

Kelly Blanchard began studying yoga in 1992 with pioneering hatha yoga teacher Marie Svoboda. Upon her recommendation, he began teaching in 1997. While Marie retired in 1998, Kelly continues to train with her on an individual basis. Kelly has also studied with T.K.V. Desikachar and his son Kausthub, attending workshops in the U.S. and Canada in 2001, '03, '05, and '06. Desikachar's father T. Krishnamacharya trained Marie Svoboda’s first teacher Indra Devi, completing a circle of sorts.
