Some photos from Fenway, April 11, 2005

The story of one woman's quest to celebrate the greatest comeback and most yearned-for championship ever in the history of sports...

... and to get one, just one, good picture of Mark Bellhorn.

For some reason, people would smile around Bellhorn.

Billy, for example.

And Doug Mirabelli.

But there would be no smiling from Bellhorn.

I would have expected BP to look like a little more fun.

At least you can stretch a little...

... but the general boredom seems to be contagious.

"Wow. No way I would have tried to carry two beers PLUS the nachos."

Ah--fielding! Signs of life!

Tough crowd of judges, though. I see a lot of 5.3s in the future.

Better try the song and dance, too.

"Is this a dagger which I see before me/ The handle toward my hand ... oh, nevermind, it's a bat."

Keep your distance, Billy--he's concentrating.

A semi-profile shot!

Well, there's always the hair.

And... more than the hair.

Big Papi can make anyone smile!

The ring presentation. "Did yours come with candy?"

D-Lowe gets a pass on dressing up (and gets a BIG ovation).

"No, dude--I'm sure he's a Yankee. Look at the pants."

Seymour, Bruschi, Russell, Orr.
I can't decide whether to give props to Bruschi for the Sox jersey... or decide that that means we won't see him in a Pats jersey again.
