Also, for clients who need to process the birth it self, or need to adjust to life as a new mom or family, I offer counseling services through the Village Resource Center with my office being at Medicine Wheel on East High.  I also support pregnant moms and couples during pregnancy working through any issues related to the birth or parenting.

C’ville Postpartum Resources

La Leche League offers lactation support, help, and information for free.  I often meet with mothers in their homes or in mine in order to help them through rough spots.  Coming to LLL meetings before baby is born is also a very good way to prepare.  And I can meet with a mother beforehand for a mini breastfeeding-preparation "workshop." Any donations to our local LLL group are always welcome.

Mama NIA: Expectant and new mothers move with baby in a way that nurtures and shapes body, mind and spirit, tailored to their changing bodies and life experiences. NIA blends nine disciplines including dancing, martial arts and yoga

Prenatal Aquatone: Keep your body fit and flexible during pregnancy with this non-impact water workout.

Prenatal Yoga: For Mommies-to-be who are at least in their second trimester. Gentle Yoga postures and breathing techniques will be instructed that specifically promote and easier childbirth. Information will be shared about optimal nutrition, anticipated lifestyle changes and communication with the baby at all phases of the pregnancy.

Mommy and Me Yoga: For mommies and babies. Enjoy the bonding fun and stillness that is experienced with gentle stretches geared for recent moms and their little ones in a peaceful environment.
