Bob Hummel's Cabin

August 23-25, 2002

Every summer we take a weekend trip to Bob's cabin is in northern Pennsylvania, on Catawissa Creek. Here is the view of the creek from the cabin.

Swimming or tubing in the creek is a great way to cool off on a hot summer day.

Due to acid mine runoff, nothing much lives in the creek, but there are plenty of insects around to feed this fishing spider.

We usually make a side trip to Knoebels Grove amusement park. All kinds of typical rides including roller coasters, a ferris wheel, and a miniture steam train.

If you get an outside horse on the carrousel you can grab for the rings as you pass by.
