In the long history of the Happy Days String Band, only Frank Marziotti has the distinction of playing with the famous Bruce Springsteen. Around 1964, Frank had his own band and an agent asked him if he would give a "this new kid, Bruce Springsteen" a place in his band. Frank did and eventually the band reformed under the name of THE CASTILES. Even though Frank was 11 years older than the other members of the Castiles, all went well for two years; until the end of a particular show when a kid came up to Frank and asked him if he was Bruce's father. Frank took this as a sign that it was time to leave. The other band members didn't want him to leave because he was a great bass player, but the decision was made.
Fortunately for the Happy Days String Band, Frank is our bass player !
