Welcome to the Alameda County Draw Bridges

 

The County of Alameda has a long history of Draw Bridges.  The State of California's first draw bridge was in the County of Alameda in 1853, it was located in the City of Oakland spanning San Antonio Creek.

There have been many Drawbridges over the years in Alameda County of various designs.  There are currently 6 Draw Bridges that span the various waterways of the County.  These pages offer profiles of the current Drawbridges in service in the County of Alameda.
