The Aquarium

 

The aquarium is a 90 gallon acrylic with built in overflow on a homemade maple and maple plywood stand and hood. Around 100lbs of live rock and 30lbs of recycled rock from a previous tank make up the reef on top of an argonite sand base.  Lighting consists of (2) 250w 6500k MH and (2) 48" atinic VHO all on Ice Cap electronic ballasts. An Allen Bradley Micologix 1000 PLC runs the show controlling the lighting, pumps, fans, feeding timer which shuts off the pumps for feeding and soon the automatic top off.
