Founded in early 2004, SlothFILMS is a group of volunteer filmmakers dedicated to making quality independent film.

SlothFILMS’ movies are truly independent - no budget, no paid actors or crew members, just people with a passion for film-making. Most of us have full-time jobs, making this a very involved “hobby”! But we love what we do, so we strive to create independent film at its best.

Our crew proves that great films can be made without big movie budgets, by utilizing such items as a homebuilt camera stabilizer, a camera dolly made from a converted flatbed cart, light-stands purchased in an online auction, halogen shop-lights, a small camera crane, and many other items adapted for use in film. And our casts illustrate that powerful storytelling comes primarily from the love of the art.
