Royce Baptist Church will be the setting for the wedding of Tonya Lynnette Gouge and Christopher Scott Williams. The ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 1997.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Joe R. and Brenda Jean Gouge of 106 Thayer Lane and the granddaughter of Flora Kelly and the late Willie Kelly and of Dora Gouge of Oliver Springs and the late Robert Gouge.

She is a 1989 graduate of Oak Ridge High School, and in 1994 she received a bachelor of science degree in sociology, specializing in criminal justice, from Tennessee Technological University, which granted her a master's degree in agency counseling in 1995. She was also named to the international honor society Alpha Kappa Delta at Tennessee Tech.

She is employed in the Facility Management and Administration Department of BellSouth Mobility DCS in Knoxville.

The prospective groom is the son of Ronald A. and Patsy J. Williams of Cleveland and the grandson of Bobbie Williams of Cleveland and the late Paul Williams and of Lizzie Kersey of Old Fort and the late Theodore Kersey.

He is a 1990 graduate of Bradley Central High School in Cleveland and graduated from Tennessee Technological University in 1995 with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. He is project manager for J.S. Haren Co. in Athens.

I was very glad to see something concerning Lucinda S. Kersey. I

had looked for quite some time for information about her. I have

thought she possibly had a connection to my George M. Kersey in VA

and TN. There is a couple others on the list who would like more

Is there anyone connected to William Keirsey b. @1750-55m. to Sally

(Sarah). He was probably b. in Charlotte Co VA and also lived in

Franklin Co VA.

William had 4 brothers------John Keirsey b. @ 1757/58, m. to Frances Hazelwood, Thomas, Richard, and Isaac , plus 4 sisters.

William and Sally were in Franklin Co VA in 1805, as well as John Keirsey and Frances (who were also there in the 1810 census). William and Sally were not in that census, having moved on possibly to Tn. (no records of proof). His brother John and Frances moved on to Warren Co TN @1815.

Have not been able to find the children of William and Sally (Sarah) or any more information on them.

Could they have had a connection to the numerous Kerseys in Marion,

Giles, and Franklin Counties in TN?? Any help or clue would be

greatly

appreciated.
