#2. Kersey - another one found - from PETENOEL@aol.com

Date: Wed, 31 Mar 1999 21:12:57 EST From: PETENOEL@aol.com Subject: Kersey - another one found Hi Marv and group.....just wanted to let everyone know that Doris has helped me solve a minor mystery in my Kersey tree. She discovered that the Ellen Kersey I had been searching for, wife to my great great grandfather William Kersey was in reality, Mary Ellen Kersey (maiden name Noel). Doris spotted the family in the 1880 census for Randolph County, Ga. So....does anyone have any information on a young family whose head was William Kersey, married to Mary Ellen Kersey. If he had a middle name or initial, I have not been able to find it anywhere. William was a bachelor still living at home with his father Bannister at age 18 in the 1860 census for Randolph County. I don't know where he was in 1870. His children included Jeffrey Randolph Kersey, Marcus Kersey, Harvey Kersey, William Erquet Kersey, LIllian Ketsey, Annie Kersey, Idus Kersey, Harry Kersey and Alee Kersey. Marcus (age 6), Idus (age 4) and a baby daughter aged 6 months were with them in the 1870 census. Also there was a three year old boy named Joel L. Perhaps this child died early as my family history has no mention of him. A hearty thank you to Doris......Pete
