God saw she was getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So He put his arm around her
And whispered, "come with me."
With tearful eyes
We watched her suffer
And saw her fade away
Although we loved her dearly
We could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands at rest
God broke our hearts,
To prove to us
He only takes the best!

Mom's obituary as printed in the Sarasota newspaper. Can you find the errors?

Remembrances
from Janet (and others)....

Mom did not speak until she was about 4 years old.  Mom's first words were at Glen Echo Park in MD when she said "It's dark in here" while on an amusement ride.

from Kevin....

When David and I were very, very young, he could not pronounce my name properly. He called me "Kemaw" instead of "Kevin". This nickname stuck, too. From then on, whenever I talked to mom on the phone or greeted her at the door, she always asked me, "How's my Kemaw?". Well, Mom... your Kemaw loves you and misses you every day.

from Angela (Carol's sister in law)....

Your Mom lamented to me around that time (1961) that having babies UN-curled her hair!! Later on she got it (her natural curl) back I think. I used to do her hair when I was visiting them while I was in school when you (Kevin) and David were babies.
