NH National Guard Cycling

Who We Are:

Welcome to National Guard Cycling (NGC), the NH Chapter of our National organization.  You can visit their website at:  www.nationalguardcycling.com    Our mission is to offer local Guardsmen and their families a venue to participate in a healthy activity and increase visability of the NHNG in our local communities and State.  This website is a place to get up-to-date ride information.  We also will mentor others with safe and responsible riding skills, share ideas, organize team participation in organized charitable events, and potentially develop leads for future enlistees to the NHNG.

Upcoming Weekly Rides:

March 21, 2012 (1st full day of Spring!!!) will be the first regular weekly Wednesday Lunchtime Ride.  We depart from the Concord Reservation.  These rides are tailored around the pace or distance of the group.    We rolled-out at 'High Noon' from the front gate at 1 Minuteman Way, Concord.  If you're intersted in doing something different (longer or different time or day of week), let me know and I'll try to organize it.  No ride if raining or roads are wet.  If you're new to cycling with the group please contact me a little before the ride so I can look for you and introduce you (POC:  MSgt Kevin McElroy, Wk Phone:  225-1332).

The Last Year's [2011] Cycling Season turned-out to be a great one!  We were blessed with great weather and a fair amount of regular Wednesday Lunchtime riders.  As a club we biked over 2,000 organized "Road" miles and over 600 "Commuter" miles.  We also increased the variety of routes through-out the Concord area.  New ideas are always appreciated -- Please share them with us.   In 2012 I'd like to organize a few single-day weekend rides (most likely along the NE Seacoast, in the White Mountains, and around Lake Winnie).  If you have interest in joining us and have ideas, please send me a note at:  kevinmcelroy1@comcast.net

We've continued to receive high quality National Guard Cycling clothing items (allow 6 to 8 weeks) and continued to be extremely impressed.  I currently have a few different sizes of the jerseys in stock for purchase.  Our parent organization will be placing orders periodically for their red, white, and blue "National Guard Cycling" Jersey's soon,  They've asked each State to consolidate orders in order save on postage and handling time.  Illustrations, prices and sizes of the different products can be seen at:  http://www.nationalguardcycling.com/

If you'd like to purchase items:  $55 per jersey and $50 for the shorts -- in a range of sizes (even Kids sizes).  They also offer Cycling Gloves, Shells (wind breakers), socks, and more.  Again, just let me know.  A photo of the Jersey design is located under the photos section. [ Double-click on the "Photos" text at the top of this page to view the Jersey design.  Click on the graphic to view it larger. ]

I have several color tri-fold flyers which were published by our  National-level organization.  I'd like to thank Joint Forces Hq's Recruiting Office for their positive support and making the printing of them possible.

In the future, we'd like to offer group rides in different parts of the State, possibly develop a competitive team, participate in charity rides, offer cycling-related workshops, and offer a centralized place to order "National Guard" cycling gear.  If you would like to participate in group rides, please get in touch with me and I'll try to organize something...

If you have comments or suggested improvements to this site, please send them to MSgt Kevin McElroy.  Please use the B-Log function (menu at the top of this website) to communicate with me -- That way others can learn from your questions or comments.
