In our world we sometimes forget how important other peoples sacrifices have been. Our forefathers fought for the freedom we all enjoy today. In the past our veterans have guarded our borders and have lost their lives protecting our homeland and fighting for our freedoms. In the future other men and women will loose their lives fighting for what many take for granted. Today I would like to pay tribute to all the veterans that have served in the United States Armed Forces. Along with these fine men and women are all the Firefighters that have saved homes and lives and in doing so have lost their own lives. As well as to those in the law enforcement community, whose members have protected our property and given the ultimate to protect our communities. To each and every one of you that view this page I truly thank you for what you have given to protect my family and myself. Your unrelenting service has not gone unnoticed. We all take things for granted, we all enjoy the freedoms you have provided us in the past. You, as our brothers and sisters have truly brought peace too our lives and many times we forget to say thank you. |

From this point forward I want to make sure that every person that has ever served in the military, in the law enforcement community, in firefighting services, or who will ever serve, knows that what you are sacrificing by spending your time protecting and saving our lives is far more than just time. To me it's something that can't be said enough, thank you. I know from the beginning of the existence of man, he has not been able to get along very well with his neighbors. It seems that we have all seen the effects of this with the events of September 11, 2001. There are people in this world that want nothing more than to destroy what you have all helped to build. In the future you can rest assured that what ever happens in our world isn't because we as Americans have freedom. It isn't because we all enjoy our right to live the lives we lead. It's because others believe that what we do have is unattainable in their lives. It's not just people from outside of our borders either. There are people right here in our own country that would love to see our government falter. Some of these people are willing to help destroy our freedoms as well. |

To them all I can say is you better not attempt to take action against my brothers and sisters without weighing the consequences of your own actions. Like our forefathers I will fight for the freedoms we have become accustom too as well. As an American, I take pride in what I have. I enjoy having the freedom of choice, free speech, and the right to take up arms, the right to protect my family in times of need. As John F. Kennedy once said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country". These words have as much relevance today as the day president Kennedy spoke them. If it comes down to it, I'll be in front of the line with my brothers and sisters to help protect what I as an American believe in. We are all on this planet to help each other become better human beings. By taking the time to express my deepest gratitude too all who have helped provide the freedoms that this wonderful country has to enjoy, I hope others will follow my example. Again, I say thank you for what you have given. If there is ever a day I can repay you for what you have provided to my family and myself I would truly be willing to do so. God Bless you all. |
