Welcome To Metropolitan Swimming Inc.
Metropolitan Swimming, Inc. (Metro - MR) is a Local Swim Committee (LSC) member of USA-Swimming. Metro is a non-profit organization whose objectives and primary purpose shall be the education, instruction and training of individuals to develop and improve their capabilities in the sport of swimming. Metro shall promote swimming for the benefit of swimmers of all ages and abilities, in accordance with the standards, rules, regulations, policies and procedures of FINA, USA Swimming, and Metro and its Articles/Certificate of Incorporation.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Paul Fortoul on Saturday December 8, 2007.
Paul was a member of the Metropolitan Review,Technical Planning and Hall of Fame Committees for many years.
He was a friend of aquatics: coaching age group, masters, high school and college swimming,
water polo and was a supporter of diving.
Paul was a Metro official and swim meet administrator for many USAS, Masters, High School and college events including the NYC Empire Games Trials and Gay Games when they were hosted in NY at AsphaltGreen.
Paul was a major force in the organization of the Asphalt Green Swim Team and Aquatics programs.
In recent years Paul participated in the rewriting of the Metro LSC By-Laws
and the creation of the pending Policy and Procedures manual.
The Funeral Services will be private.
A Memorial service is planned for January; details will be provided at a later date.

at the LC National Invitational in Atlanta, GA

TVSC Alumnus Philip Scholz, a freshman at Loyola College in Baltimore,
Set 8 American Records in the S11 Blind Swimmer category:

50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free, 500 Free, 1,000 Free, 1,650 Free, 100 Fly and 200 Fly.
