Here is a good place to describe a list of your hobbies,
projects or interests.
- Project 1 - As a kit, Brittany put together a
Ramsey CMOS keyer. She did a great job of putting it
together, but it did not work; after a good solid week of
troubleshooting, I found an issue in the schematic with one
of the diode placements. Removal of the diode made the
keyer function.
- Project 2 - A
medium power hf/vhf/uhf amplifier to act as a brick for our
Yeasu FT-817. This amplifier is roughly based on the "SuperPacker"
detailed in the December 2005 edition of QST.
- Project 3 - A high power HF + 6 meter solid state
amplifier. Based on the design by Toshiaki Ohsawa,
JE1BLI, and Nobuki Wakabayashi, JA1DJW detailed in
September 2006 edition of QEX.
- Project 4 - Being impatient, I wanted a little
more power for my TS-680 on 6 meters. I found a 10
meter amp on e-bay. It looked like a junk heap, based
on 6JE6C sweep tubes. The price was right. A few
modifications later, and the amp is nicely putting out 85
watts on 6 meters.
