The Royal Oak Republican Womens Club on behalf of the Republican Women’s Federation of Michigan is pleased to announce the Educational Memorial Trust Scholarship. This Scholarship is available to all Michigan female High School seniors who plan to pursue a career in education and who espouse Republican values and principles. Applicants may apply for the prestigious non-renewable $1000 scholarship through the Republican Women's Federation of Michigan website. This year’s application deadline is April 1, 2009.
Scholarship criteria and requirements can be found on the Republican Women’s Federation of Michigan web site www.rwfm.net or more specifically on the scholarship application brochure. The deadline for students to submit their completed scholarship application and materials through the web site by is April 1, 2009. The 2009 scholarship recipient will be notified by April 30th and will be presented with the award in May of 2009.
On May 3rd, 2008 Lauren Linenger of Portage Central High School, was awarded the $1,000 Republican Women’s Federation of Michigan Educational Memorial Scholarship at the 26th annual “Tribute to Women” event held at the Grand Haven Holiday Inn.
