Enclosed are some favorite photos from
my old Olympus camera. I'll post more of my stuff
from time to time and hope to get some comments: another
flower web
page,
referrals
to photo blogs that you like or similar amateur close-up photos are
also a possibility.

Aunt Lena was one of my Grandmother's twelve
sisters. She lived at the north end of
Neville Island in the Ohio
River and out lived all three of her husbands! This very
bellflower was passed along to my Dear Aunt Ruth (Lena's niece)
who later gave
some divides to my flower loving wife Jo Anne... many, many
years ago.

Another twilight flash (as above) but six weeks
later, in
mid-June. I love these
one-day spectacles as more buds are seen to
follow. They date the longer solstice days of summer
here in SW Pa. My Grandma Sophie called this more common
and taller reaching Tiger
variety,
"Outhouse" lilies!

Looking out across Lake Erie Bay (in late
July'04) this carefree
bumble bee is working hard on a
profuse cluster of milkweed,
flowering in our favorite
Pennsylvania State Park ... Presque Isle.
Weeds do not usually if ever need a pollinator's help. Nectar-needy
bees know this misnaming.
