SEAQUEST AUXILIARY VEHICLES

SEA SHUTTLE aka LAUNCH A titanium-hulled, nuclear fission powered mini-submarine with long term survival capacity (up to twenty-five people for ten days at 10,000 ft underwater). Sixty-six feet long, it has several universal docking ports. It is an undersea shuttle craft capable of transporting up to 30 personnel and 1.4 tons of cargo. Used to ferry between the seaQuest and various undersea environments, colonies, science outposts. Also capable of docking with other surface and sub-surface ships. seaQuest carries a complement of at least 4 shuttles, designated MR-3, MR-4, MR-5 and MR-7. SEA SPEEDER A sixty-one foot long modular craft designed for short term missions. Capable of seating six to fourteen people, dependent on configuration. These are mentioned in the first year manual and almost every list of seaQuest specifications mentions the presence of 4 Sea Speeders, but I don't remember ever seeing them on the show. STINGER One man undersea "motorcycles". Completely enclosed, requiring no additional diving suit. Capable of reaching sub-surface speeds of 1 knots. Used whenever the rapid deployment of personnel is required (rescues, recovery of downed probes, etc.). Have also been utilized in the pursuit of undersea pirates, terrorists, and contraband traders attempting to escape via narrow undersea trenches. SEA CRAB A one man diving vehicle used for close exploration. Extremely maneuverable at extreme depths, can ascend or descend rapidly at any angle. Control can be taken over from the Engineering station aboard seaQuest bridge.

NAVIS EIGHTEEN SUBMERSIBLE Undetectable self-contained war station. Fully operational, cleared in stealth and satellite recon. All phases of extreme 7 evasives. Capable of uplink with S-10 defense satellite net for pin- point accurate attacks on any spot on Earth. Specifications classified. Mariah's rebel Daggers stole a Navis 18 and kidnapped Adm. Thomas in the second season opener, Daggers. Lt. Brody served on the Navis 18. Over-ride code code 2 baker 15 victor 7. MARAUDER CLASS UNMANNED ATTACK SUBMARINE An experimental unmanned submarine run by AI, loaded with advanced tactical and strategic weapons built by UEO Sea Science Limited. The prototype escaped from Submarine Developement during a download of Bridger's brain scans and proceeded to re-enact war games from 2009 in the second season episode Sincerest Form of Flattery. DEEP OCEAN TRANSPORT (MINI PICK-UP) Open flatbed for watertight cargo, similar to the MR Launch. Modular pressurized pods for operator, passengers and corrosion-vulnerable cargo. Particularly popular among deep sea farming and mining communities. Length is thirty-five feet and maximum depth attainable is 15,000 feet. Seen driven by Bobby MacLaine in the opening sequence of the pilot episode To Be or Not to Be, Part 1. SEMI TRUCK Three pod version of mini pick-up. Capable of ferrying larger loads over greater distances. It is sixty-one feet long and can dive to depths of 22,000 feet. TYPHOON CLASS DELTA IV Russian nuclear ballistic missile submarine from the late 20th century. This was the submarine modified in the pilot episode To Be Or Not To Be. It was refitted as a pirate, with extra guns, a minisub launch bay and extra plating. In the end, it was the extra plating and weaponry that doomed Captain Stark's vessel, weakening the original hull with excess weight so that it collapsed under the influence of the seaQuest's torpedo. ROMEO CLASS Obsolete Russian diesel attack submarine originally built in the 1960's, although North Korea and China continued to produce them well into the early years of this century. There are a number still in operation as these small, fast submarines are durable and relatively inexpensive. SeaQuest shot upon a Romeo carrying a cargo of refugee boys from the Amazonian Confederation in 2018. FOXTROT CLASS Obsolete Russian diesel-electric attack submarines built in the early 1960's. A successful design used for long-range ocean patrols. This was the class of submarine used by Maxmillian Scully in Whale Song LYSANDER CLASS SUBMARINE FIGHTER(2032) Subfighter, high speed submersible, capable of engagements underwater at speeds up to 300 knots. Armed with subduction particle liquification weapons. Built by Deon International.
