This cap was in such terrible condition that
its owner sent it to me so I could use its inner cap for another pen; he
described it as looking “like it's been run over by a sheep’s-foot packer.” I
don’t even know if that’s a machine or an occupation, but the cap was not
pretty.
There was a lot of peeling rhodium plating
scattered around, and dozens of dents, which were accumulating black tarnish. I
couldn’t make this a like-new cap, but I did manage to make it presentable, I
would say..
