This Sheaffer Balance cap has had its clip and band restored. The images on the left are pre-restoration; the right images show the restored cap. Scroll down to see close-ups of the clip and cap band. The cap band appears slightly pink-toned in the images; I'm not sure why that is, as I don't recall it having that cast. It may be a scanner lighting effect, or a result of some combination of factors present during the plating phases. In any case, it was not noticeable when viewing the cap.
