DOB: 3/89 Oscar was the 2nd feline addition to the family. He was so cute as a kitten. He grew up to be a very large (not fat), furball! He always has to sit on your lap and be scratched.  He is very persistent about this! Dont ignore him or he will head butt you. He gets along with all the other male kittys. He loves to get munchies, his special treats.  He thinks he's King of the home. Once other kittys or kids arrived at his home, he retaliated in his own, loving way. Lets just say he has become an outdoor cat in our fenced in back yard now during the day!
We learned (July 2001) that Oscar has advanced stages of heart disease. He is on daily heart medicine. We hope this helps him to live a nice long life! he also has a very hard time walking. They suspect arthritus in his hind legs making it very hard for him to walk alot. We give him glucosamine which seems to really be helping him!

Don't you think it's time to put away your clean clothes?

Spring 2001

UPDATE: On 8/24/02 we felt a small lump on the side of Oscars neck. We had him checked out and they did a biopsy. 9/6 The biopsy came back with some very disturbing news, Oscar has Fibrosarcoma. The cancer that has been linked to vaccinations that vets are not openly telling people about.

Just last year we read up on this terrible cancer and decided we would NEVER vaccinate again. Unfortuantely this cancer can arise 10 years later.

Due to the location of the tumor, surgery is out. Our option by the vet, whom I might add when asked what causes this terrible cancer "wouldn't" give me an answer! She said radiation was the best bet. After reading all the horror stories of this process we have at this time decided not to put him through that as statistics show most tumors will come back after a month or so.

So now we have decided to go the homeopathic route. Many people and pets have beat cancers this way with no side effects! We have Oscar on a few different remedies, of course he hates taking them but it beats going through radiation for 3 weeks, every day! We have our fingers crossed we have started this protocol soon enough to help him somehow. We will keep you updated.

If you have never heard about these vaccine causing cancers please visit this link. It could save your pets life now or ten years from now. Don't expect your vet to educate you about this.

Are Vaccinations Killing Our Pets?

Unfortunately, Oscar has gone to rainbow heaven as a result of this awful cancer invading his head. He died in our dad's arms Tuesday, Sept 17'th, 2002 9am about an hour after we got on our school busses. He will be missed by all of us and his closest buddy & brother "Bud" who keeps looking for him.
