The Geoffroy's Cat is found in the mountains of South America, especially in areas of the Andes and mountainous regions of Argentina. The cat is a good climber and sleeps in trees. It preys on small mammals such as rabbits, birds, rodents, as well as insects. The geoffroy's cat is named after the French naturalist Geoffroy St-Hilaire.
