 MDMCN-20 waits for a new crew at S. St. Paul, MN, 12/20/2006 "Night time sharpens, heightens each sensation; darkness stirs and wakes imagination. Silently the senses abandon their defenses. Turn your face away from the garish light of day, turn your thoughts away from cold, unfeeling light and listen to the music of the night." -The Music of the Night, from Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera." Night time is a magical time to do photography. Many of the rules used in daylight have little or no application or relevance. I try to do all my night photography with available lighting only with few exceptions. The majority of these shots were done with a Canon EOS 20D set at ISO 100 @ f7.1, with the average exposure time being between 15 and 30 seconds. The photos are color corrected to a degree in Adobe Photoshop, as the sodium vapor lights create a yellow-orange cast in these photos.
