The Talarian freighter was a type of freighter used by the Talarians during the 24th century. In starship classification, an escape
pod is a small capsule found aboard most starships. Escape pods are used
only in the event a ship is damaged and pending destruction. Starfleet
vessels have enough escape pods to evacuate the entire crew and any
non-Starfleet personnel. When the IKS Koraga was about to be destroyed
by the Dominion in 2375, Worf left the ship in an escape pod. However,

The Kumari-type battle cruisers were in service with the Andorian Imperial Guard in the 22nd century. The starship type is named after the first ice cutter to circumnavigate Andor. The hull of a Kumari-type starship is composed of duranium. The Andorian warships are equipped with tractor beams, large cargo bays and escape pods. Nothing symbolizes Orion space power more than this sleek and powerful vessel, often called "the Orion D-7". A design implemented in the middle of the 23rd Century , the Wanderer owes much to Human starships, particularly in the use of an oval main hull where the bridge, sensors, computer, and most of the crew quarters are located. The engineering section, contained in a swelling 'abdomen', also contains the compact shuttlecraft bay (two eight man shuttlecraft are carried in snug bays and can be launched simultaneously) and a powerful tractor beam capable of towing vessels up to twice the mass of the Wanderer.
