New Year, New Rants!
As of 01/01/05 I will no longer be actively pursuing Trading/Collecting with the same intensity level that I did over the course of the past five years due to personal issues involving my family. I am still interested in doing trades, but I will be up front and inform those of you who do contact me about any swap(s) that it will be left up to you to put together all the details of any such trade(s). I am sorry if that scares some of you away from dealing with me, but it is better that you understand those restrictions before you make any trade offers and become frustrated at the length of time it is taking for the trade to be resolved.
Also, please understand that I might not be able to respond immediately to any inquiries, but I will make every effort to respond back to you within 48 hours.
I guess not. His response was exactly the kind of nonsense that I No Longer have time to deal with!!!
"What do you have to offer???"
Duh!!! I really don't have time to play e-mail tag.
Please - save us both time & frustration by simply reading the following before contacting me. (Those of you who are experienced traders and know the routine... just skip on down to my links.)
As for the rest of you; please read on!!! Because in the future should anybody contact me about a trade and be as Clueless as that jerk was, I'm letting you know right here and now that I won't waste my time responding to you no matter what you've offered!!!
I run my site based on the simple principal that by posting my Wants/Traders the whole process of making a swap will be pretty straight forward. Anybody who looks at my pages can see what I have to offer, pick out what they need, then look over my wantlist, see what they can fill, and then contact me.
And in the case of my Yzerman Wants, (which tend to have a higher BV), posted on said page is a statement that I attend a weekly show and in most cases I can get my hands on just about any player(s) from any sport in any format to offer in exchange.
That's not that complicated to understand... is it??? Apparantly for the aforementioned Loser (and many others before him) it is!!!
So, at the risk of sounding Rude -- let me clear up any and all further confusion in regards to contacting me about a trade:
If you don't have a Clue regarding the Protocol of On-Line Trading; do me a huge favor.... please.
Close the Link to my page and go annoy the hell out of somebody else!!! Really; I mean it!!!
Phew!!! I hope that clears this matter up once and for all.
As for everybody else interested in doing serious trading; please contact me at: radiosilence@yahoo.com
THE RULES!
So - this is to those losers and any others who might contact me about a possible swap; read the following very carefully:
If you don't think the rules stated above are fair; do all of us serious collectors a favor; stick to trading with the neighborhood kids who will promptly put your cards where they belong! On their bicycle spokes!!!!
He joked it up with several of my displays, and interviewed my daughter and several of the other 'tricks o' treaters' that came to our house.
But alas, as the fates would have it. I wasn't able to partake in any of the fun as I was forced to stay at work after the dork who was to take my place was fired for his 'threatening behavior' towards one of the other employees!!! Bastard!!! He would pick that day of all days to loose it, and his job!!!
Well, needless to say, the wife saved the day by recording the entire news cast on our VCR. I'll be transfering that one onto DVD for sure!!!
And I am already hatching plans for Halloween '07 display!!! Maybe now I can finally convince the wife to let me buy that lifesized 'Creature From the Black Lagoon' that I found on line for a mere $3200. LOL
I'm talking about my complete listing of every card that I have traded in the past 10 months with several different great traders. All of this insanity arose recently after my Brother From Another Mother and I completed our $2700 Mega Trade.
The last time we did a blockbuster trade of that nature, I listed all the different cards that changed hands, and countries and posted it for all to see. And while I was wrapping Gregg's page up, the thought occured to me that it would be cool to do the same thing with everybody else that I have swapped cards with.
So, after 4 long months, the listings of all cards sent/received are done, all I have left to do is download the scans of some of the real 'Gems' sent to me by each person. They should be uploaded around the middle of September.
So, go on down to the bottom of this page and give the "Thank-You" link a click.
So, give them a look over and see if there is something you have to offer and I'll do my best to get you something you really want in return.
Did play drums in a band back in the early 80's when the music scene was turned upside down by something called 'Punk Music' though. Here is a link to that band. If you have a few minutes to spend you can listen to some of the material that we recorded in Tremor Studios.

After 9 months of stop and start practicing, and not a gig in sight that would envolve my skills, I decided to call it quits.
Now I will begin the long tedious task of searching for another band that can really use my services. Which will be no easy feat since there are not a lot of bands looking for a drummer (no matter how good) in their late 40's.
Should that miracle happen, I'll post it here.
