    4.   Describe the  difficult journey that many of these immigrants undertook to come here.

    6.   Explain  what happened at Ellis Island. Where is it and how many people came through there?
    7.   Where is Angel Island and how and when was it used?
    8.   Define culture shock.

      29.    Why was the Pendleton Act important?  How has it shaped government jobs even today?

      30.    What is a tariff?  Who benefits from a high tariff?  A low tariff?
