Welcome to Contemporary
Issues! This senior
elective is run as a seminar class in which we explore topics together.
Using films, current articles and guest speakers,
we
examine issues facing our society.
You are encouraged to check my website
on
a regular basis for news sources and research links.
There are no quizzes or tests in
this class, but informed opinions are required. Through
research, debate and discussion, we will
consider the pros and cons of
a variety of topics. Your grade is based on written
and oral contributions to class.
This class may be taken for a full year, or a semester.
