SSTV; Or slow scan tv has been around for a long time.It consist of
sending photos by radio with a computer.Most slow scan takes place on
20 meters.There are other bands used as well.Here are some of those bands

A simple interface is all you need to operate SSTV .You can also purchase
a interface from a lot of dealers to hook to your radio and computer.
The home brew interface i use is a simple 2 wire interface.one hooks to
the speaker output on the radio to the line in or mike in on the sound card
the other hooks to the line out on the computer to the modulation jack
on the radios mike input.You then adjust your VOX to key the radio when
you click on the TX tab of the MMSSTV program.Next you enter your call
sign into the program or make your own;you can creat your own templates
in MMSSTV.Next you will need photos;these can be obtained from your
camera or downloaded from the internet.Any photo you like or would like to
share with the world can be used.Now that you have these things ready
you need to transmit when you hear others on the band you choose to
operate on.More then likely your clock will be off on the computer.
The older operators on the radio will help you set up your program to send
straight photos.

on 20 meters at 14.070.

are lots of program to run digital modes some are costly;i use the share
ware software;it seems to work the best for me.Remember when using
these modes;they are world wide;so send some thing nice;there are lots of
childen in other ham shacks waiting to see what your home looks like.

window tune into some one sending morse code and you are copying
code in near perfection.

A TV station? Yes you sure can;you can have your
own.Most ATV is on 70 centimeters.You can
transmit on 439.250 and recieve it on a TV ;cable
ready.Set the tv to channel 60 hook up a UHF
antenna and you can send your ATV show to all
your HAM RADIO buddies in the area.This is a
neat mode to operate.
