What is highpointing?

Simply put, highpointing is visiting the highest point of each member of a geographically-defined list. There are state highpointers, county highpointers, National Park highpointers - the list goes on.

The Highpointers Club is a national organization of people who share the goal of visiting the highest point in each U.S. state. It may surprise some to learn that far more people have reached the summit of Mt. Everest than have completed this list. To be fair, not everyone who climbs Alaska's 20,320' Mt. McKinley will want to visit a street intersection in Delaware - and not everyone who visits that street intersection can make it up Mt. McKinley - but highpointing does make for a fun way to explore parts of this country you never thought you'd see.

Currently my total rests at 34 states:
