Inspiration and Provocation

This quote reminds me that, though my dreams of being a courageous hero ended in Vietnam, I can't use that as an excuse for failure to act on what I believe.

The bellicose mood was a very rare one with Ransom. What do I Do?

I'm a retired faculty member of Washtenaw Community College (WCC), Ann Arbor, Michigan. Retirement activities include:

• Short-term mission work, such as teaching linguistics to speakers of minority languages in Mexico and others who want to help preserve them;
• Encouraging sustainable, transit-oriented development in Washtenaw County, Michigan;
• Part-time teaching of things like XML and introductory computer skills at WCC;
• Traveling, especially by rail!
