I used 16 foot pressure treated 1X4 to make the bows. The dampness of the treated lumber
helps when bending, but I still broke a few of the boards.
|
|
I found that if I bend, clamp & fasten a little at a time, the boards don't break as often,
and I don"t have to cuss as much! For my shed, I need 16 bows, and it's been taking me about 30 minutes to
make just one.

I have allmost all of the bows made now... just four more to go! Gotta get more wood!

The "gravel man" came today, and left me 9 tons piled 5 feet tall. That's gonna be alot of
shoveling!!

 |
I finished spreading the gravel yesterday, and today it is time to frame. It was pretty hard
to raise this thing up, and I had to raise the braces a little at a time. The whole thing was very unstable, and the
braces were constantly falling down. I didn't have enough hands!
