Lofting, is the process of drawing out the lines you intend to cut on. Here I am lofting the bulkheads, cockpit sides, transom and bow center frame.

(Notice the "Thinking Chair"? Always keep one handy!)

Here I am with the boat bottom assembly. Two 1/4" plywood panels joined with a fir 2X4 cut into a curve shape. Then stringers are added down both sides to provide a surface to attach the hull sides.

These are the bulkheads, cockpit sides, bow frame and transom.

The same pieces with stringers attached.

This is a shot of the bottom of the hull. It has a 4 foot beam, and is 12 feet long.

This is a test fit of the cockpit and bulkheads all clamped down. Everything looks good, so the next step is to take it apart, glue the joining surfaces, and screw it all together.
