The Mini CupThe 12' Mini-Cup was designed to be cheap and easy to build, be cartoppable, and still be fast and fun. The hull is a snap to build, and incorporates a lot of time saving features. Sealed compartments provide enough flotation to capsize, right, and sail away with only a couple of inches of water in the cockpit. The Mini-Cup has been known to give Lasers a run for their money on occasion.

Before you build this boat, be sure to read through this list of "Plan Improvements" and suggestions. A friend, and fellow Mini-Cup builder/skipper, named Andrew Butchart worked with me to put together this list of ideas to make building the Mini-Cup easier. Be sure to visit his website too. He has done a very nice job of documenting his experiances with the Mini-Cup and other small boats. Andrew's Web Site The Floating Bear |
