After achieving the American dream, complete with a house, a 401K, and a lucrative career in software engineering, I decided to hit the reset button on life and try for something a little less certain.  I sold nearly all of my worldly possessions and spent two years living on the road as part of the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew, teaching people, everywhere, how to build trails.  In that time, I rode in 44 states, 4 provinces, and ate lunch at more gas stations than should be allowed by the FDA. 

Now based out of Boulder, Colorado, I spend my time writing about people, the outdoors, and of course, about bikes.
