Damage
The Garage Door

Sitting in the garage with the trunk up, I was working on the audio system again.  After I finished up, I went into the house and shut the garage door as usual.

I forgot to shut the trunk first, so the garage door did it for me.

Highway Debris

On the way home 11/21/2005 I hit someone's exhaust pipe after it was kicked up by an SUV.  The road is always covered with this or that odd piece of debris, especially through the construction zones of Denver.  Although most of the time the junk is on the side of the road, this time a long section of someone's exhaust made it out to the middle of the road.

The SUV in front of me swerved and avoided the pipe, except that he caught it with his back tire which sent it airborne right at me.  With a cement divider on my left and another car to my right, I had no room to maneuver and ended up taking the hit first on the front bumper and then again as it swung around and caught the side of the car.  Thankfully, the damage was limited to the plastic pieces.  I was really shaken about it and worried about the sheet metal the whole way home.
Rear Ended

On the way home 1/3/2006 I was hit from behind by a red Ford Focus.  We were stopped completely for a good 20-30 seconds and traffic ahead finally started to move.  So did she, a bit too early.  Hitting me hard enough to blow her airbags she damaged her own car much more than my baby.  But it still sucked to have another highway incident.

Here is a close up of the damage.  I undid the bolts holding the bumper support and pushed it all back out.  Seems to be intact.  Now all I need is some sanding, hole fill, and paint.  Body shop will love me this Spring.
