Power Upgrades
What's the point in looking fast, if you can't get up and GO!

Intake

NOTE:  The AEM Intake was sold and will not come with the car. (9/23/2009)

To improve the car's power and responsiveness, I found that one of the first things to do was change to a K&N filter or a full Cold Air Intake system.  Either allows more air to get to the motor and makes a noticeable, if not awe inspiring, change for the better.

Exhaust

NOTE:  The Magnaflow Catback Exhaust System was installed at 15,250 miles. Noted increase in fuel economy was 2.5mpg after installation. The system has a lifetime warranty from Magnaflow. (9/23/2009)

The natural choice after setting up an intake system to get more air in, was to get an exhaust system that flowed more air out.

Engine

NOTE:  The timing belt was changed at 64,400 miles by County Line Import Automotive. Plugs, cap and rotor, seals, and belts were last done at 89,122 miles. Last regular oil change at 110,222 miles. (9/23/2009)

So far I've only done the simple bolt-ons for power.  Anything further starts to be a bit expensive.  So for now, all I can do is read up about forced induction, engine rebuilds, and how best to get me that extra 120whp.

Transmission

NOTE:  The stock clutch still holds strong and there was nothing needed for the transmission. I do wish I had installed the Quaife. (9/23/2009)

More power takes a better transmission to get it to the wheels.  I've done nothing to my stock transmission as yet, but I have bought a few toys that will be installed soon.
