Welcome to Royal Caribbean Cruise Line's latest entry in the cruise market. May, 2007 marks the birth of the second entry in the Freedom Class of RCCL ships.
We were fortunate to be invited to a pre-inaugural event held onboard the Liberty Of the Seas. The maiden voyage of the sister ship to Freedom OTS was May 19, 2007.
This 160,000 ton wonder demonstrates the truly innovative ability of Royal Caribbean designers.
Prior to this two night cruise to nowhere, we had apprehensions about sailing on such a large ship. One might think that they would not find their way around the ship for example.
Well, we are happy to report that was not the case at all. In fact, the Liberty OTS is one of the best laid-out ships we've been on in over 20 years of cruising.
We never had the feeling that we were on a floating city, as one might expect.
Our cabin was 1310, a balcony cabin on deck 10. It was mid-ship, so it was quite easy to get to any of the public areas onboard. The entertainment was great,
the crew was wonderful, in all, it was a fabulous two nights onboard this new wonder.
