KS6P is my Ham Radio licensed call sign. Maybe you have heard of Ham Radio operators? We ARE NOT CB'ers! Ham Radio operators are licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to operate and experiment on designated frequencies for three main purposes...

1. Refining and developing different "modes" of radio communications.

2. Public/Community service.

3. Just having fun.

The button on the left "Where's Kim Now?" is an example of #1.

While I could go into a detailed explanation of what we do in each of the three areas, it would be much better (and easier) to simply direct you to some of the many ham radio internet sites.

I am particularly proud of one, as I originated it and maintained it for several years. ECTAR Inc. is a non-profit ham radio organization that I co-founded in 1994. ECTAR is devoted completely to public and community service.
