click for enlargement The Wildflower Island at Teatown  is one of the most remarkable facilities in Westchester County. It is a 2 acre island, completely private, dedicated to the display and preservation of wildflowers-about 250 different wildflowers.  Additionally, there are countless ferns, fern allies, trees, shrubs, and grasses. And they all flower except the ferns and fern allies.

To take a virtual walk on the island pick a month from the menu on the top. After viewing the first four photos, click on the > button and continue your walk. To bend down and take a closer view of a flower, click the picture.
